Brisk Winter Walk #5: Sunday, January 11, 2026. 1:00 PM. Wethersfield Meadows Wolcott, Crilly, Zeleski Parcels
Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm, Wethersfield. About 2 hours. Meet at 258 Elm St, at the underpass under I-91. A long hike down to the River and along the farm road, now designated a Greenway, to our Wolcott, Crilly and Zeleski parcels in the Wethersfield Meadows. From the Broad Street Green take Elm Street East, crossing Route 3 continuing to the underpass area. From the Silas Deane Hwy take Maple Street/Route 3 north towards Glastonbury, at the Elm Street stop light, turn right onto Elm and continue to the underpass. From Glastonbury, take Route 3 past Elm Street, turn around and then turn right onto Elm.
Dress for the Weather and ground conditions, including mud or snow. Weather and water conditions may revise or cancel. Some of these areas are used for hunting, so wear an orange vest if you have one. Call Jim Woodworth for the latest information, 860-808-9968.

Note – No registration needed. Participants will be required to sign a waiver on the day of the Winter Walk. Directions: From Wethersfield's Broad Street Green, Take Elm straight across Route 3 (Maple) to the end of the paved Elm Street to the I-91 underpass. From Silas Deane Highway (Rte. 99) turn onto Maple Street (Route 3), north (towards Glastonbury) and then first right at light onto Elm. From Glastonbury on Route 3 south, no turns are allowed onto Elm so drive past and make a U-turn to come back and make right turn onto Elm.
