Wethersfield CT Nature Walk

Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Meet at 412 Hartford Ave. On-street parking.

Connecticut River Conservancy (CRC) invites you to join us as we participate in the City Nature Challenge (CNC), a global bio blitz from April 24-27, 2026. CRC and partners throughout the Connecticut River watershed are hosting guided walks to take as many observations of the natural and alive world around us. Join us as we celebrate the arrival of Spring, round out the end of Earth week, and spend some time exploring nature together.

The Wethersfield Guided CNC Walk on April 25 from 10am-12pm will meet at Great Meadows Conservation Trust’s Wolf Parcel lot. We will meet at 412 Hartford Ave, corner of Jordan Lane (on street parking only), for a short walk through the gate to our Wolf Parcel and DeMille Easement on the Cove and Folly Brook. The walk is about 1 mile through muddy and uneven forested terrain. We will plan to walk together at a slower, nature-finding & observation-making pace for around 1-1.5 hours.

Pre-registration is required. All participants must sign a waiver.

There are no bathrooms available along the trail. There are public restrooms nearby at the Cumberland Farms and Dunkin Donuts.

Dress for the weather and ground conditions, including mud. Weather and water conditions may revise or cancel.
