Earth Week Work Session at the Wood Parcel
Session #1. Saturday, April 18, 9 am to Noon.
Call to GMCT Board and Operations Committee members, Stewardship Committee members, General members, and friends of the GMCT to come help out with our work at the Wood Parcel.
We’ll prepare for planting the native shrubs and trees we have ordered from Earth Tones Nursery by digging the planting holes, assembling deer ex-closure fencing, distribute wood chips for mulch, fill kitty litter watering jugs and pre-position them for watering, and rototill the former Japanese knotweed area for planting a native New England Conservation/Wildlife Mix seed mixture.
Bring your own water, gloves, and tools, marked with a way to identify them as yours. Wear footwear appropriate for working in the dirt!!
