Join GMCT and Friends of Kycia Farm at Heirloom Market for a discussion about bats, led by DEEP Wildlife Biologist, Devaughn Fraser. Dr. Fraser worked to identify the genetic basis of resistance to white nose syndrome in bats. Bats provide services like pest control, pollination, seed dispersal, but face challenges like disease and habitat loss. She will introduce the 9 species of bat native to our state and discuss methods used to monitor and protect our local bats.
