Native Plant & Seed Swap

Saturday, May 16th, starting at 10:00 AM (until tbd as needed).

GMCT Board Director Alan Baglia has generously offered to host a Plant and Seed Swap. Coinciding with the Rocky Hill Buy Nothing Group’s townwide “SPRING BIG GIVE,” we are hosting a Native Plant and Seed Swap at 10 Esther Rd in Rocky Hill, CT.

We will have household items (books, clothing, etc.) available, as well as a selection of native plants for guests to give and take. Attendees are welcome to bring native plants, cuttings, and seeds to share, and take what you wish. Please note: while the host family is giving away household items, we ask that you do not bring your own household items to give away, only your plants and seeds.

Coordinate your visit with a hike in nearby Quarry Park (trailhead 100 feet), a visit to Rocky Hill Historical Society’s Academy Hall Museum (Open 12:30-3pm) (1/2 mile), a ride on the Rocky Hill Ferry (1/2 mile) or a walk in the Great Meadows (1/2 mile).
