Wolf Parcel Walk Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:00 am

Join GMCT at 10:00 am for a Forest and Bird Walk at GMCT’s Wolf Parcel located at Hartford Ave, Wethersfield. The first walk is about 1 hour and will be followed by an optional 2nd walk to the Folly Brook Nature Area and Hartford Dike.

Meet at 412 Hartford Ave, corner of Jordan Lane, for a short walk through the gate to our Wolf Parcel and DeMille Easement on the Cove and Folly Brook. Optional – Stay for a longer walk, another two and a half hours, up Hartford Ave. and out along the Hartford dike that divides the Folly Brook Nature area from the South Meadows Industrial Park to view the Heron rookery.

This walk is a companion to the lecture by DEEP Forester David Irvin that was held at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center Thursday March 26th at 7:00 pm addressing forest health issues.

David has produced reports of his forest inspections of the Wolf Parcel floodplain forest and the Kycia Farm upland forest. These will be available for review during the lecture.
